Manila trip ~ Dinner Get-Together with my friend LESLEY @ Cafe Mary Grace ♥

I Feel At Home At Cafe Mary Grace!

I've always liked dining at  Cafe Mary Grace.
They have the coolest restaurant interiors and homey ambiance.
The first time I went to a  Mary Grace Cafe  was at their branch in Serendra and I found it a bit too small...

now I am super-happy they opened a giant two-floored branch in Greenbelt 2.
I was in Manila lately and was there with my friend Lesley Golez.

Cafe Mary Grace is the place to be if you want to stay in a very relaxing place and eat great food!

"A place where time seems to stand still...a sweet, small haven...here, that we call, Mary Grace."

Finally!!!
A much-awaited get-together with my cute, 'flawless',
 'kapwa-Skolasa' friend
 Lesley Ann Golez!!! ♥ ♥

my super-nice friend LES: All Smiles!

Onion Dip with Crispy Cassava Chips
Les and I love this!!! ♥
These chips were huge and the dip was so good!

This was my order:
Mary Grace Ceasar Salad ♥
(Breaded chicken fillet on top of crisp romaine lettuce dotted with croutons and bacon bits, tossed in a tasty Ceasar dressing)

This was Lesley's order:
Leek Saffron Cream with Fillet Of Cream Dory Pasta

(This is one of my favorites in Cafe Mary Grace!
It is fillet of cream dory
~ fish that simply melts in the mouth atop linguini noodles covered with a light creamy sauce flavored with leeks and a hint of saffron!)

What's a trip to  Mary Grace  if you won't eat their  Grilled Ensaymadas!
I can eat a box of these!!!!!
 hahaha (kidding!)

The  Cheese Roll,  just like its 'sibling' ~ the  Ensaymada,
has that light and airy texture,
coated with glimmering sugar crystals atop the length of the roll.
Best eaten when warm, the melt-in-your mouth cheese simply oozes and trickles down the inside of your mouth as you bite into the soft and moist roll.

my choice of drink:
Perfect Peach Iced Tea

Cafe Mary Grace also serves zesty water.
Their pitcher of water contains orange and cucumber slices.

The corner where they put the menu and the condiments.

They have a Post A Mary Grace Moment corner.
Their customers can put their photos there! ☺

I love the personalized letters written by the diners to the owners. ♥

The mirrored walls

The view from the second floor.

No space was left 'unoccupied' inside the restaurant.
Everywhere you look, there were cute figurines or details!
(me ~ amused!)

Cafe Mary Grace also has very innovative chandeliers inside the restaurant.

It is so amazing how the simplicity of the materials used transformed into something that looks expensive.
Kudos to the creative genius!

The Story of Mary Grace.

There are a few bakeshops in Manila  and in some parts of the Philippines with an array of  Ensaymadas  and  Cheese Rolls  but for me,
Mary Grace's  is the best-tasting ever,
a perfect match for brewed or dark instant coffee.
This one will seem to make you ask for more?
 (heheh)
This one ~ with a perfect dash of sugar and spread of butter all around and a gooey cheese inside that really melts in your mouth ~ is simply unforgettable for the tastebuds.
 (sigh!) ♥

A box of Mary Grace's delicious Cheese Rolls truly delights!
This sinfully delicious pastry is a great pasalubong or
merienda shared with loved ones.

Hmm, arguably
(hey, I said '"arguably" ha ~ because i know everyone has his/her own 'favorite'! heheh) ~
Mary Grace  is a purveyor of the best-tasting  Ensaymada one can find in Manila...

Truly, one can never go wrong with these two "chefs-d'oeuvre".
With quality ingredients and just-baked freshness,
Mary Grace's Ensaymadas  and  Cheese Rolls  are great enough to give as gifts/pasalubongs.

(* Hay naku, so what do you know...
brought home several boxes na naman, 'hand-carried', to be given as pasalubong to loved ones ~ the "pleaser" that I am?! LOL) ♥
