I ♥ travel
I ♥ Malaysia
Love to sing this tourism jingle that goes:
 "Malaysia ~ truly Asia"!
Have you heard of it?
They always play it on TV everytime they feature the tourism advertisement jingle on Malaysia...

(we took this pic using Fed's iphone while we were inside the van during our tour)

"Kuala Lumpur is the best walking town in Southeast Asia.
With a population of less than 2 million, it has all the amenities of a much larger city yet retains an intimate, almost cozy charm.
Wandering the streets of KL ~ as abbreviation-crazy Malaysians call their capital
~ you soon discover that the city is one great emporium."

HIBISCUS
~ National Flower of Malaysia

Interestingly, my research tells me Malaysia imported it from the Philippines.
But still, there are reports that say it originated from China.
(Hmm. What's this thing we seem to have with China...first the Spratlys...now the Hibiscus re: issue of orig.Malaysian origin? Just a thought, heheh. Kidding!)
On the other hand, d'you guys know that Malaysia and South Korea have the same Hibiscus family as national flower?
Malaysia's is Hibiscus rosa-sinensis while South Korea's is Hibiscus syriacus.
(In our beloved Philippines, Hibiscus is our very own Gumamela.)

The Corus Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

View of Petronas Towers from our hotel!

This is the hotel lobby.

And this was my room.
Nice, isn't it?! ♥

It was actually my 'BFF' Doctora Fedelaine who booked our hotel room reservations online.
I would've preferred Marriott Hotel because hubby and I are Elite members of their Marriott Rewards Program but 'BFF' Fed got very good deals on our KL hotels (50%-70% discount! woohoo!)
~ I couldn't complain. (smile)
All in all, we get to occupy two hotels while in KL, accomodating two rooms each time.
I like the Corus Hotel not only because of its international standards, but also because of its very convenient location
~ the 5-minute walk it takes to reach the world-famous Petronas Towers, Suria KLCC Shopping Mall, and entertainment & shopping outlets makes it an ideal hotel location.
Not only that, it is also very near the LRT or Light Railway Transit
~ just a 2-minute walk.
On our first night at KL, we were happy to go to Petronas just a short walking distance away.
