MESA is certainly one of my favorite restaurants when I'm craving for good Filipino food.
It is one of my top go-to restaurants every time I'm in Manila.
Today, my family & I had lunch there in between hitting our fave stores in Greenbelt and taking advantage of the ongoing mall-wide sale.
Had a great time. ☺

SISIG with egg
(Pork sisig on a sizzling plate topped with fried egg)
Our unico hijo B.E. had this crispy pork sisig with egg.
The server, a very young woman named Brenda,
tossed the sisig in the rice right at our table.

Laing 2 ways
(Taro leaves, pork, shrimp paste and coconut cream
topped with adobo flakes, served original and crispy)
This is one of my favorite dishes here ~ the laing is just amazing!
It's a must-try! ☺
Kare Kare
Beef and tripe
(Beef, tripe and fresh vegetables cooked in a rich creamy peanut sauce)
my fave drink:
Sago't Gulaman

TIP: It is imperative to make reservations for restaurants like this,
because it's usually jam-packed during lunch time and dinner time.
(We were lucky there were still tables available inside the restaurant when we arrived. Taking a table outside the resto is a no-no for us because it would be very hot and uncomf'table.)
