The hubby & I were in Iloilo for a business trip recently
and had lunch at our favorite Breakthrough Seafood Restaurant along Villa Beach.
After a busy morning of appointments at the offices of the DPWH and DENR,
it was great to enjoy a manamit (delicious) lunch at Breakthrough with our now-Iloilo-based Kumare, Maureen R.☺
Breakthrough is now a by-word among Ilonggos and a must-go for visitors and balikbayans.
Whenever we go to Iloilo, we make it a point to visit there.
The food is fresh (especially the fish and seafoods!)
~ cooked to perfection and reasonably-priced.
healthy Appetizer:
fresh "Lato" seaweed
Fresh Oysters
("Talaba")
my fave veggie dish:
Pinakbet
Ginat-an nga Alimusan
(Catfish with Coconut Cream)
our all-time fave:
Sinugba nga Managat
(grilled red snapper)
This is hubby's and my favorite ~ fresh Managat fish grilled to perfection.
It is juicy and delicious.
A must-order when you are planning to eat at Breakthrough.
Organic Native Chicken
(Native Lechon Manok)
Organic native Lechon
our very refreshing drink:
healthy Buko juice
(P.S. Sorry, not in the pics are the Kinilaw na Tanguigue and Sinigang na Managat. The Tanguigue was devoured by the hubby and the Sinigang na Managat, which was portioned in soup bowls ~ was nearly gone before I even started taking pictures! Ayayay! LOL!) ☺
