Comfort food with fusion of Asian and Mediterranean cuisine at SOLACE :-)

My family and I had lunch at  Solace Wine & Dine  with our good friends,
(Judge) Emil Leachon and his lovely wife  Marge.
I like this new resto in Greenbelt, Makati.
It has a relaxing ambiance ~ unlike those restaurants in the mall which tend to get crowded and noisy.
As for the food,  Solace  carries an impressive menu of food selections which can really "tickle the taste buds" (it tickled mine ~ LOL!).
It's my second time here and I am happy our unico hijo B.E.'s with us this time, and so with our good friends.
Solace  is new in the dining arena but I can honestly say that it is already at par with some of my favorite restaurants in Manila.
The quality of their food is very good.
And we have met the gentle-mannered restaurant Chef ~ he was very gracious
(even sent us a complimentary  Bibingka Souffle  dessert!)
~ really an "asset" in this very inviting restaurant.

House Salad
(Fresh garden greens drizzled with resto's house vinaigrette)

Solace Home Special:
Pritong Kare Kare
(Crispy boneless pata on a bed of bagoong, sauteed native vegetables with a rich peanut sauce)

We like  Solace's take on their  "Pritong Kare Kare"
~ definitely a  Kare-Kare  with a twist!
Theirs is not the common  Kare-Kare  because it makes use of Crispy Pata/Deep-Fried Pork Leg instead of the usual beef and tripe commonly used in cooking.
The vegetables were underneath the Crispy Pata thingie and the thick, creamy peanut sauce was placed in a separate container.

Surf & Turf Grill
(Seared ribeye and prawns seared with balsamic vinegar reduction and cilantro pesto)

Our unico hijo B.E. loved this delicious steak and prawn combination.

Lamb Rack With Mashed Blue Cheese Potato
(Seared lamb rack served with mashed potato and crumbles of blue cheese)

Pandan Rice
(Steamed rice with pandan essence)

Dessert: Bibingka Souffle

This dessert made us very, very happy!
 Why?
Because it was served "compliments of the chef"! (hehehe)
Not only that,
we also loved the taste of this special  Bibingka
which was deliciously moist like Brazo De Mercedes!

Mint Lemonade
(A classic lemonade with a hint of mint)

Grape Margarita

I was hoping to be served my favorite  Strawberry Margarita  but unfortunately, it was unavailable.

So, my friend Marge and I ordered  Grape Margarita   instead ~ found it refreshing, too!
