Let's enjoy juicy, grilled Chicken Inasal the Ilonggo Way! :-)


Chicken Inasal  with sinamak dip is a classic barbecue-and-sauce combination that is a common Filipino favorite.
"Inasal"  simply means  "barbecued chicken"  while sinamak refers to a dip that is a combination of peppers, garlic, onions, pepper, and vinegar.


Let's enjoy juicy, grilled chicken the Ilonggo way with this Chicken Inasal recipe!

Let us savor the flavors of this Filipino classic that we can do at the comforts of our own home...

Ingredients:
1/2 kilo chicken drumsticks+thighs+chicken wings 
(you can buy the Magnolia chicken cutlets in chicken inasal flavor)
1/4 cup achuete soaked in
1/2 cup butter, heated and melted

Sinamak Dip:
1 cup vinegar
1/4 cup onions, chopped
1/4 cup garlic, chopped
2 tbsp ginger, peeled and julienned
1-2 pcs siling labuyo, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste


Procedure:
Brush chicken inasal pieces with achuete-butter mixture.
Grill chicken until charred and done.
To make the sinamak dip,
 combine everything in a bowl and serve together with the chicken inasal.
