Where the sun shines brightly almost all year round,
keeping cool becomes a way of life.
But the sweltering heat of summer calls for special reinforcements.
When the mercury rises to an almost boiling point,
refreshment is the bottom line.
Here are some of the best ways to chill out...

Cold treats for hot days!
This is my friend Lynn Limcumpao's "delicious drinking water".
All he does is replenish the pitcher as he consumes the water
and drinks 8 glasses of these everday. ☺
FAT FLUSH WATER !!!
You should drink at least three 8 oz.glasses per day,
they say the longer it sits,
the better it tastes.
You can eat them as well but they are intended as flavoring and still work, so that is a personal choice.
The Vitamin C turns fat into fuel, the poncan fruit increases your sensitivity to insulin (if you're diabetic ~ like my husband) and the cucumber makes you feel full.
Try it for 10 days and see what you think!
Ingredients per 8 oz.serving:
1.) Water, 8 oz.
2.) 1 slice orange
(Sunkist oranges)
3.) I "poncan" fruit
(poncan fruit)
4.) 2 or more peppermint leaves
(peppermint leaves)
5.) Ice ~ as much as you like
(Ice cubes)
Directions:
Wash orange, poncan, cucumber and peppermint leaves.
Slice cucumber, grapefruit or orange, and poncan (or peel).
Combine all ingredients (fruits, vegetables, 8 oz.water, and ice) into a large pitcher.
Stir and enjoy!
