"Lukon" (prawns) for lunch, anyone? :-)


This is a "labor of love" I cooked for my family
 and also for my BFF Geordelle & her family. ♥

Sauteed Prawns ala Sally Estrella ♥

Ingredients:

 1 kilo fresh Prawns
 2  teaspoons minced garlic
 3 teaspoons minced ginger
 3 teaspoons chopped white onions
 2 teaspoons soy sauce
 2 tablespoons Banana Ketchup
 2 teaspoons *cooking wine 
*(Note: If unavailable, you may use Sprite like what I did with this dish.)
 cooking oil (olive oil)
 2 tablespoons chopped *spring onions
 (or "sibuyas dahon")
 Salt and Pepper to taste

Cooking procedure:

1.) Combine soy sauce, ketchup, and wine (or Sprite).
Mix and set aside.

2.) Heat olive oil in a pan.

3.) Add ginger, garlic, and chopped white onions.
 Saute for 20 to 30 seconds or until light brown.

4.) Put in the prawns and saute for 1 to 2 minutes.

5.) Pour in the ketchup mixture.
Saute for 2 to 5 minutes.

6.) Add salt and pepper.

7.) Garnish with chopped *spring onions (or *sibuyas dahon).

8.) Transfer to a serving plate. 
(I transferred mine to a pyrex dish.)

8.) Serve.
