A trip down memory lane with hubby...at good ol' MA MON LUK ♥

MA MON LUK RESTAURANT

I've heard a lot of 'yummy-licious' things about  MA MON LUK,

 especially its famous  Mami  and  Siopao.

As a 'die-hard foodie', I've always wanted to try it but somehow never had the chance...

until my hubby insisted we go and accompanied me there during our recent Manila trip together.

the taste of Siopao paired with flavorful soup ~ the best!!

We ordered  Special Mami  (noodle soup) and  Special Siopao  (steamed dumplings) which were their bestsellers.

Hubby told me, when he was still studying at the U.P. College Of Law in Diliman, he & his friends loved eating at MA MON LUK  and the  Mami  &  Siopao  were his favorites, too. ☺

(*By the way, I found the  Special Siopao  really cheap for Php 60.00.

 It was big and heavy with yummy filling!!)

If you guys are looking for "authentic"  Mami,

then  MA MON LUK  is definitely the place to go to,

 to get your fill of the 'real' stuff!!

Their  Mami  with lots of toppings tastes very delicious 

~ I just love the milky broth!! ☺

Note:

 Did you know that the  "ma-mi"  came from  "ma mon luk"?

They say  "mi"  is Chinese for noodles while the owner's name is  "ma",

 hence,  "ma-mi".

Not sure if it's really true.
