Today, May 19th, we celebrate "Pentecost Sunday" ~ the birthday of the church!

Today is  Pentecost Sunday  ~ the birthday of the church.
It is also called  "the Solemnity of Pentecost",
when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples and gave them powers untold.
Pentecost Sunday  marks the 50th day after Easter Sunday.
It is a big feast for our Church, for our Christian community.

Come, Holy Spirit!
Whenever we are stressed, distressed, laden with burdens, or covered by darkness, let us pray sincerely and continuously the powerful prayer:
"Come, Holy Spirit!"
Another powerful, liberating prayer that drives away worries, fears, and sadness is:
"Jesus, I trust in You.
Mama Mary, I love you!"
Let's try it.
Let's try it right now, and experience Pentecost.

Think about this:
"True strength of character is not calculated by how well we manage to carry sizeable loads under challenging conditions.
It is best measured by our ability to remain kind, light-spirited, and compassionate, though we may be burdened with life's challenges."

A moment with the Lord:
Come, Holy Spirit, we need you!
Come, Holy Spirit, we pray.
Come, Holy Spirit, and stay with us.
Amen!

Felt  'extra-blessed'  to attend  Pentecost Sunday mass  with my loved ones today, especially with our beloved  unico hijo Benedict as one of the altar boys ("sacristans").

We also went to the beach and had a wonderful time ~ especially enjoyed eating the fresh seafoods:
fresh fish, crabs, shrimps, "talaba" ('grown-up oysters'), & "sisi" ('baby oysters').

I hope you all have a blessed Pentecost Sunday.

Love ~ SAL ♥
